# getOwnedBalance

> Query owned Bitcoin, including funds locked in outgoing transfers and swaps.

Returns owned satoshis for a Spark address, including available funds and funds still owned in pending outgoing transfers or swaps. It excludes ordinary incoming payments that the receiver has not claimed. Use `getAvailableBalance()` to determine spendable funds.

## Method signature

async getOwnedBalance(sparkAddress: string): Promise<bigint>
```

Uses an authenticated client created with `createWithViewerKey()` or `createWithSigner()` and paginates internally. Private-wallet queries require owner or viewer authorization. A zero response does not establish whether a wallet is empty or access is missing.
